Press Release: TRANSGLOBAL ENERGY APPOINTS JOHN CONNER DIRECTOR OF FIELD STAFFING

Cumming, Georgia - December 3, 2007. TransGlobal Energy, Inc. has appointed John "Jesse" Conner Director of Field Staffing.

Conner gained his initial power experience through General Electric as Startup engineer.

In 2000, Conner was one of the initial members of Pratt and Whitney's FT-8 Startup team. Over the following five years he held several positions including Electrical T/A, Field Service Engineer, and Site Manager on FT-8 Twin-Pac and Swift-Pac installations. From 2005 through 2007, he worked through various contractors on General Electric combustion turbines. He has experience with LM2500, LM5000, LM6000, LMS100 Frame 7EA, and Frame 7FA units.

TransGlobal Energy, Inc. completes startup of the Baghdad South Power Plant.

TransGlobal Energy, Inc announced today that the Iraq Ministry of Electricity accepted care, custody, and control of the plant last month. "The plant was officially accepted by the Ministry of Electricity on April 29th," said Kevin Morris, President and CEO of TransGlobal Energy. "The TransGlobal Energy staff that executed this effort did so in an exceptionally dangerous environment without any incidents! We are very pleased with our employees in Iraq and our deepest gratitude goes out to all of them and the security teams for the sacrifice they have made over the past 7 months."

Steven R. Baardson has been named CFO and General Counsel at TransGlobal Energy, Inc.

Mr. Baardson joined the firm as a partner and member of the board of directors in 2004. He will oversee the legal and financial affairs of TransGlobal Energy's domestic and international operations.

Mr. Baardson has over 21 years of experience as General Counsel in the power and energy industry with expertise in domestic and international business development, contract negotiation, financing, and corporate legal and HR affairs. Over the course of his career, he has negotiated domestic and international commercial power transactions including PPA's, EPC agreements, joint ventures, MSA's, and global alliances for multi-million dollar energy projects in the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and South America with most of the major world-wide energy OEM's and EPC's. Mr. Baardson has traveled extensively and established business offices in Europe, Asia, and South America. Early in his career, he was involved in the successful development and financing of a variety of independent power projects. A licensed attorney in Colorado, Mr. Baardson received his JD from Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark, in Portland, Oregon and his BA in English from San Diego State University.
